Adjectives: Happy Versus Joyous

Here is a challenge:

Let's share adjectives that we could put into our poems.
Keep in mind:
Each adjective should be new and interesting.
Each adjective should fit smoothly into the poem when read aloud.

Good luck!
Here's one from me:
malicious

The malicious night took over the sunset

One of my adjectives is jittery, it means you are characterized by jerky movements.

Clumsy is a jittery clown entering or jumping into your feet.

Another one of my adjectives is quaint, which means that you are unfamiliar or unusual in character or just strange.

Also another adjective is Zany, meaning that it is a funny person or the class clown.

Hello everyone! Your adjectives are very refreshing.
Hi Steven. You've added some great stuff.

Here are three more adjective:
venomous - like poisonous
cantankerous - cranky
jovial - marked by good humor

Mr.Byrd said...

Try to use alliteration with those adjectives.

Anastasia - The jittery junebug...

The repetition of that consonant sounds good..

Try it!

Anastasia said...

Thank you for the idea Mr.Byrd... I could have never thought of that... I added to my metaphor poem and it sounds GREAT!!!

Mr.Byrd said...

Good job Anastasia - alliteration will make you sound like a genius! I have made the mistake of overdoing it, though. Good luck!

Anger is a hot ball of fire bouncing into your heart.
It is a burning forest fire filling your heart with smoke and darkness.
It hurts you and makes you blow
But was it really worth it

Anger
Anger is an angry mob chasing you until the end
It is a blazingbowl of fire swirling in your head.
Anger is a red, hot flame racing rapidly towards you.

Frustration is a flittering ball lying to your heart.
It makes you go crazy and yell at everybody
Sometimes even cry
But just let it go as if it's a grown butterfly
