Christine Sewnarine-
My favorite memories of class this year was when we had a Christmas party. I loved the party so much! I also liked when you sang(Mr.Byrd) if I just embarrassed you I am sorry but I love it when you sing! I love it when you imitate people like when you say, "What you want Mommy". That one makes me laugh like crazy. I also liked the time Orlando and me had to write a letter to eachother we both wrote something funny. I liked it when Ms. Shulman gave us gifts and how she let us pick the seats we wanted to sit in.
A memory I want to forget is something that didn't affect me but my freinds. I won't mention it on the computer because I feel that this is not everyone's buisness. A memory I want to forget is when my freind was really sad because of what happened in the past.
I AM REALLY GOING TO MISS THIS SHCOOL I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!=(

I also like it last year when Brandon H. said he shops at the 99cents store.

Well....
I have been at ps161q for about six to seven years now and i love it there. PS161Q is where i had some great memories. I learned how to read and write better than i could have ever imagined. I made some great friends including teachers. Some of my favorite teachers were and are Mrs.Ortenberg, Ms.Berry, and of course the funniest of them all Mrs.Shulman and Mr.Byrd. I have had some great learning experiences in all of their classes. For example in third grade was when i ate my first peice of pie(i know it is weird but i loved it). Also in third grade was when i learned to like multiplicationand have fun doing it. In sixth grade i learned some great things that i never knew i knew. I leaned how to have fun in math, reading. I also learned that ii could have deeper thinking and meaning put into my writing And i can also say that my best teachers that i have ever had are Mrs.Shulman and Mr.Byrd. They are the best!!!!!!!! And i look forward to more memories with them.

*I AM REALLY GOING TO MISS SCHOOL AND ESPECIALLY THIS ONE SCHOOL. Also i agree with christine Mr.Byrd, you have a good voice... Mrs.Shulman you're the best...
MY FRIENDS INCLUDE JESSICA RAMKISSOON, SARITA, CHRISTINE R AND CHRISTINE S. ALL OF THEM HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR...

Here is a poem i wrote about teachers:

TEACHERS

Teachers are a resourceful book waiting to share their brilliant ideas to their students own orld
They help us learn and create our own world
They open up and learn us what they know
They help us understand and go into a more deeper thinking
But most of all teachers are the BEST!!!!!

*THERE ARE SOME GREAT TEAHERS AT PS161Q....

One of the my favorite memories was when I was in Mr. Goldsteins class, in 5th grade we got to meet an author. Another favorite memory was in Mr. Ritches class. There I met one of my best friends of all time and that is Natasha!Natasha has been my best friend since 1st grade to 6th. i have been in this school for a couple of years now. i have many memories. I really miss fifth grade. all the teachers were so fun. we actually played games and had fun. I really enjoyed the night of the talent show. It was a fun day. my friends Japneet and Gurpreet performed with me. We danced on an indian song. The song was very boring. we had to dance with the little kids. I raelly like that memory because that was the only time i got to express myself. I got to express my hobbies. It was a blast. I had sooooooo much fun

Wonderful World

I can see

Trees and grass,

The sun and sky;

I can taste

Chocolate ice cream,

Apple pie;

I can hear

Music, laughter,

Words you said;

I can smell

Perfume, flowers,

Baking bread;

I can touch

Silk and velvet,

A baby's skin;

What a wonderful

World I'm in!

My favorite memory from the school year was in the fourth grade. The memory was that our class went on a class trip to the green grass farm. It was very hot because when we went it was during the month of June.

LOOK WHAT MY BODY CAN DO!

HERE ARE MY EYES.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
BLINK AND CRY
AND SHINE BRIGHT BLUE.

HERE IS MY NOSE
WHAT DOES IT DO?
BREATHES AND SMELLS
AND SOMETIMES KER-CHOOS!

HERE ARE MY HANDS.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
SWING AND CATCH
AND WAVE HI TO YOU.

HERE ARE MY FEET.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
JUMP AND RUN
AND WALK TO THE ZOO!

A shining new day is our Father's blessing,
Sent straight to you from Heaven above.
To wrap you within His warm tender care.
A golden glorious day filled with His Love.

The pure brightness of the warming sun.
The deep azure depth of the flowing skies
The silky soft white pillows of the clouds.
His daily gift to you so open up your eyes.

Everyday day is a gift. Untie the ribbons.

May today be as special as you are.

Sandip said...

The warmth of your voice
Received through a whisper
Heals a hopeless heart
Once torn and blistered

The gaze of your eyes
Creates a feeling of limitation
I fall to my knees
Numbed by the sensation

The brush of your hand
Sends a chill to my soul
Energy surges from my heart
Out of control

Your scent, such an aroma
A perfume of infinite intensity
Consumes the air in my lungs
Burning a relaxation through my veins

The taste of your lips
Soft, subtle, and sweet
Can recharge a life
And is yet so discrete

Only five senses to absorb your love
How I wish there were more
But the five existing I appreciate
For with these I am restored

i was in this school for about 6 or 7 years.
my favorite memories were when i was in fourth grade. I had the same memory as gurpreet and ramandeep. We went to a trip at bronx zoo. it was sooo cool. I really loved the tigers we saw and the dark cave with reptiles in it. I also loved the turtles.
My best friend was gurpreet, karandeep, ramandeep. We were having lots of fun at the zoo.
I really loved fourth grade.
Almost half the class was filled with indians. (crazy indians) we all drived ms. vanbenschoten crazy. But i know we all had a great time in fourth grade.

In fifth grade was the talent show. OH MY GOD!! i just hated the dance we did. It was so slow and i was dancing like i was dead. the only thing that i liked about that day was that i liked the other performances.Especially chealsy's singing. Also i liked how the guy with the drums was playing. everyone went on stage.
I am accepted to preform on the talent show this year. It will be sooooooo cool.

I will really miss this school and i don't want to leave! i dont want to go to a school without my best friends. I will really miss them!

My Journal
One memory i have is when we practiced and worked hard to win a cometition against another school. There were ten kids in the group. They are: Me, Japneet, Christine B and R, Brianna M, Paul, Travis, Jasprett, Gurnihal, and Jay. There were five specialties which were geography, history, science, english and math, anything goes, homyphones, and spelling that we had to memorize. I might have been hard but it was tons of fun. I remember when we practiced and used buzzers to practice when we had the academic challenge last year. we sometimes had it in the library and sommetimes outside of the auditorium. It was a lot of fun. I hope our team this year wins.
Mrs. Davis says that this years team is not doing so well. She had given them their packet to study at the end of fourth grade. I think that they should have been able to learn and memorize everything by now. I wish i was on the team again. I really want to win this year and in the up coming years.

Well,I really like the trip to see the BUTTERFLY too.i thought it was interesting. However, sitting in the back of the theater it was hard to hear what the actors were saying.
I disagree with you,I did not like the cube project.I thought it was very hard to make the cubes.I mean, my cubes came out looking like triangles.
I also like the time Mrs.Shuman's class played the game with the third graders. However,it was not fair because we know more than they do (at least I hope so).
Well, that's all I have to say right now because I can't really say alot of the good memories because they are embarrasing to me and other people. ^_^

Mr.Byrd-
I like plays, especially when like mini first graders are in it because they look so cute.
However,I'm not a big fan of acting. For example,on wednesdays when Mr.Matt comes I don't like going up and performing in front of everyone.Mostly because the sixth graders can be very mean at times, but I won't list names. =]
